Welcome to Paris

Discover Paris Real Estate in the Heart of Texas

Situated 98 miles northeast of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Lamar County, Texas, is a small slice of France known as Paris — Texas, that is. Nestled at the western edge of the Piney Woods, an ecoregion comprised of several species of pine that spans several states, Paris received recognition in 1998 for being named "Best Small Town in Texas" by Kevin Heubusch in his book, “the New Rating Guide to Life in America's Small Cities.” Local residents have baptized their petite milieu with the slogan “Second Largest Paris in the World,” and, following a tradition of American cities named Paris, constructed a 65-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower in 1993. Today, this icon has absorbed some of the local flavor and sports a giant red cowboy hat atop its tower. In addition to its famous moniker and dominant landmark, Paris real estate has garnered some attention as well, and it is not uncommon to come across stately late 19th century to mid-20th century residences every so often on its rosters of homes for sale.
